Sora Kashiwagi (柏木 空, Kashiwagi Sora) is the main character of How to Keep a Mummy.
Sora has amber eyes, orange hair, and a lean build. A notable feature is the ahoge on the top of his head, which moves depending on his mood in the webcomic.
He is often seen wearing his school uniform with the top buttons unbuttoned and a red shirt underneath, in a red hoodie, or wearing an apron.
Sora is a kind-hearted and friendly person, often going out of his way to help people. His warm demeanour and helpfulness allows him to easily become friends with others.
At times he can be simple-minded, especially when Mii does something cute. Due to his unique upbringing knowing about the supernatural creatures from a young age, he speaks casually about it. Although he is the authority among his friends when it comes to such matters, it is often remarked by Tazuki that his blasé attitude is abnormal. He is also very open with his feelings, known for making sincere compliments without embarrassment (much to Tazuki's chagrin).
He is more athletic than his appearance leads on, being able to outrun his entire class without much exertion.
With his aunt often overworked and his father being away abroad, Sora is very industrious and self-sufficient. Notably, he is a very good cook, and capable of sewing clothes and toys in short periods of time.
Despite his cheerful disposition he has a fear of losing loved ones, stemming from the belief that all people come and go eventually. To suppress his fears he has adopted the mindset to simply be ready and accept the inevitability of people leaving. This causes him to act recklessly selfless for others, such as when he offers to accept all the punishment for him and his friends entering the land god's festival without invitations.
